Lincoln Animal Friends were formed in 2007.
We are a local campaigning group, we hold regular Saturday lunch time meetings every month at the Healthy Hub on Beaumont Fee Lincoln, we also run stalls in town, usually outside the Memorial, near Mark and Spencers.
We have helped to organise protest's against the circus, gaining signatures from members of the public' that went towards Lincoln City Council banning circuses with animals from performing in this area. We are now repeating these actions to persuade North Kesteven Council to follow Lincoln Council and have a complete ban on circuses with animals in this county.
We are also involved in many other campaigns, including being very active on Meat Free March, for the second year running we have worked in partnership with Lush, giving away free vegan meat replacement foods to the passing public. This year a member of the group dressed in the Hattie the Hen costume, kindly lent to us, from Animal Aid. See photo gallery
